Whale Watching

An afternoon of whale watching off Brier Island....Said to be the Humpback Capital of Nova Scotia. Followed 2 cows and a calf. Pics could have been better. Problems with the camera. Surprise, surprise kids. Still an awesome time.

"Balancing Rock"

Situated on Long Island on the Digby Neck. A column of basalt rock that balances delicately at the edge of the shore. I have seen this in travel magazines. Awesome to see in person. A great day.

Someone is MISSING.

We have really enjoyed having Lue with us. We will miss her. She has been so easy. She is so adventuresome and inquisitive. Inspecting flowers, rocks, shells, berries (even eating some-she's still alive). Always looking for the moon and looking outside before bed for the stars. She wants to walk on every beach and has lots of questions when we stop. To Lot at St. Anthony....Why are so many vehicles parked on the side of the road? Lot ....I don't knows, maybe having a pee. (Don't think that was the answer she was looking for.) We will miss the cheerful face in the backseat of the truck for the past month offering something for your sweet tooth, wondering what the temperature is or singing to the tunes on the CD. We love you, Lue.

Peggy's Cove

A visit to the said to be one of the most photographed places in Canada. You wonder how it stands the weather as the waves on saturday were past the lighthouse. It is a spectacular place. The tiny harbour below the lighthouse is so quaint and still being used.

Hurricane Day

A visit to the beach after the rain stopped. The salty mist was like fog and the sound was a loud roar. Had to keep cleaning the lens on the camera and wash the car when we got back to town. It was awesome.

Hurricane Earl is expected to hit Nova Scotia on saturday our travel day to Darmouth. Soooooo we shorten our stay in Cape Breton and head for Lue's sister-in-laws, Noreen's, in Darmouth early. Hurricane Earl can't decide where it is going to make landfall. Yikes!!!!!

Sail Day to North Syndey, Nova Scotia

We leave Newfoundland knowing we have to come back. It has been more than we could have imagined. Each province of OUR CANADA is so different. We have loved it all.
