With the sun on our shoulders and the wind in our sails, we are headed east. 4 pm was the scheduled time to leave but we were away by 5 (Surprise, Surprise). Irregardless we are gone. Walmart North Battleford, here we come. A okay choice for a 9 pm arrival, but not a choice we will quickly make again (noise, lights, trains and seagulls). All's good.
Early rising got us headed to Moosomin, too early to stop so we motored to Brandon. Got to camp site and set up for the night. Campground poorly maintained and full of mosquitoes. Manitoba has had lots of rain, water laying everywhere. Some of the crops look almost ready for harvest.
August 1st, Up early, headed for Kenora, On. Rained most of the way but warm and no wind. Stopped for a stroll and coffee at Falcon Lake. A busy resort.
Kenora is very picturesque, a boaters paradise(you would love it, kids). It's on Lake of The Woods, approximately 70 miles east/west, 90 miles north/south, with hundreds of islands. Our campground(Anicinabe Park) is right on the lake. BEAUTIFUL! Good choice, B0b.
Short day tomorrow. Headed for Ignace.
Sounds great.....we see that place on commercials if we watch the Kenora CTV channel. It does look beautiful. Sure you will also post a pic or 2 along the way??!!!

Hi mom & dad. Looks like you are having a great time so far minus the skeeters! They have exploded here too. Ugh! D & K didn't want to leave camp so are staying with John & Lynn till thursday. Just A and I again this week. Jaky bought me golf clubs for my birthday so we have a sitter for A tomorrow night to go try them out. Miss you!
